Are you a Game Changer?
Have you found joy and fulfillment in your life? Does your life have a purpose? Do you help others transform their lives and find purpose?
Unlike many people who find themselves in "dead-end" jobs, or feel their life is without purpose, I have been blessed to be involved in a profession where I could share my passion and purpose every day with our youth.
Amidst the most brutal economic times we have seen in years this is a confusing time for our young adults especially those being raised in homes without fathers. But it is never too late to achieve the yearning in every one of us, young and old alike, that we might fulfill our purpose and we might realize the possibilities that our lives hold.
Now - more than ever - is time for coaches to stay focused on their mission of serving student athletes by encouraging and empowering them to achieve purpose in life.
The traditional values our country was built on are not being taught in homes and in many cases young adults only find those core truths through the influence of their coaches.
Coaching is a calling, mission, and ministry to serve others not self. Every day coaches have the opportunity to impact athletes, parents and community leaders by sharing life principles, insights and counsel on a daily basis.
Every day, we are given an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those around us and to inspire others to do the same.
I have a deep appreciation to the coaches that have dedicated their lives to the student athletes of our state. The Old Coach applauds your efforts and wants to share with you an event that will further equip you with the tools necessary to enhance and encourage the lives of student athletes, especially those who come from fatherless or absent father homes.
The 1st Annual GameChanger Coaches Leadership Summit will be held on February 18th, 2013 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. This one day event will feature dynamic speakers that you won't want to miss. The theme of the event is Impacting a Fatherless Generation and throughout the day you'll gain valuable insight and be inspired by dynamic speakers, such as Tim Tebow, Grant Teaff, Joe Ehrmann, Bob Beaudine, and Nick Vujicic.
The goal is to pack the AAC with Coaches, Administrators, and supporters of athletics that have a passion to change the future for our student athletes and provide resources to further equip your impact on student-athletes for a successful future.
Coaches with Christian character and leadership skills have impacted our communities for several generations and if you were like me probably influenced you to become a coach. Coaches can empower young adults who struggle with emotional and behavioral issues to overcome their inadequacies and achieve success.
This event will help you as a coach realize your potential in building character and integrity by transforming the lives of your student athletes. I encourage you to Register now for the event on February 18th, 2013.
For some it will be a new beginning to fulfilling your purpose, for others it will renew your spirit of optimism on why you were called into this profession, and hopefully for all it will become a lifestyle of a life with purpose.
